The School Breakfast and Lunch Program provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free breakfast and lunches to children each school day.
In order to qualify for free or reduced price meals, you must be a resident of the state of Massachusetts and a parent or primary caregiver responsible for a child or children who attend school (high school or under).
If you receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits, all of your children who attend school may automatically qualify for free school meals.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
