There is irony when looking at the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling Monday in support of one state’s push to purge voter rolls, contrasted with the effort by a coalition in Massachusetts urging the Legislature to act on a bill to automatically register people to vote when they interact with certain state agencies.
We believe voter registration and participation should not be a partisan issue and, like Common Cause and the other organizations, we believe this bill should be passed and signed into law.
